Ever Eden Sending Hugs Card

It’s been a wet, dreary and record setting 24 hours. We’ve set a record for rainfall in October here in Dayton. We are in a drought so we will welcome any rain we can get. Since I had to stay inside I made use of the time and created a card for the Freshly Made Sketch #508 challenge of the week.

I used the new Eden’s Garden Suite which is available to purchase starting November 2nd (also my birthday).

Here is the sketch the card was based on.

I hope you enjoyed the card for today.

Celebrate Sunflowers Card

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 8 months since I have posted any of my cards. I guess life has got the best of me and I haven’t felt very creative lately. Today’s card is one I designed with inspiration from the Freshly Made Sketches 506 sketch. I actually made 25 of theses cards for a card swap I am participating in.

I started with a card base from thick Basic White. I then took a 5 1/4 by 4 piece of Soft Sea Foam and ran it through my Stampin Cut and Emboss machine using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. On top of this I layered a Sunflower from the Sunflower Dies with the base cut out of Soft Succulent and the outline cut in Basic White. I cut the middle out of Gold Foil. For the stripe I cut a 2 inch strip of Painted Christmas DSP and then layered it with a 5/8 in strip of Basic White. I stamped the sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers in Evening Evergreen. I added a few of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to finish off the front.

The inside is a 5 1/4 by 4 piece of Basic White stamped with the sentiment stamped in Evening Evergreen and the small sunflower in Soft Succulent.

Hope you like the card and I’m planning on posting more frequently.
