Celebrate Sunflowers Card

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 8 months since I have posted any of my cards. I guess life has got the best of me and I haven’t felt very creative lately. Today’s card is one I designed with inspiration from the Freshly Made Sketches 506 sketch. I actually made 25 of theses cards for a card swap I am participating in.

I started with a card base from thick Basic White. I then took a 5 1/4 by 4 piece of Soft Sea Foam and ran it through my Stampin Cut and Emboss machine using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. On top of this I layered a Sunflower from the Sunflower Dies with the base cut out of Soft Succulent and the outline cut in Basic White. I cut the middle out of Gold Foil. For the stripe I cut a 2 inch strip of Painted Christmas DSP and then layered it with a 5/8 in strip of Basic White. I stamped the sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers in Evening Evergreen. I added a few of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to finish off the front.

The inside is a 5 1/4 by 4 piece of Basic White stamped with the sentiment stamped in Evening Evergreen and the small sunflower in Soft Succulent.

Hope you like the card and I’m planning on posting more frequently.

Here is the sketch the card was based off of.

  2. I am curious to understand how a thumbnail of my submission to the FMS challenge has your name and link attached... I think that gremlins are at work!

    1. When I uploaded my picture it was showing blank all day and then when I looked this morning it had your thumbnail. Not sure how.
