Paper Players Challenge 505 Forever Greenery DSP

I made today’s card for The Paper Players Challenge 505. It was such a great sketch to use for a masculine birthday card that I am needing for a family member’s birthday in a couple of weeks.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it!

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 /4. I then cut the first diagonal shape from Pretty Peacock card stock and then embossed it with the hammered metal embossing folder. Next I choose 2 coordinating papers from the Forever Greenery DSP. I then glued these pieces to complete the front shape. I then stamped the sentiment with from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink. I cut the sentiment out using a stitched rectangle framelits die. I popped this up using dimensionals and placed on the card about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom. I added a couple of leaves from the Forever Gold Specialty DSP and finished off the front with 3 of the gold gilded gems.

For the inside I cut a piece of whisper white card stock to 4 x 5 1/4 and then add 2 strips of the DSP used on the front cut to 1/2 inch by 4 and glued on the top and bottom. I added a couple more of the gold leaves to match the front in the lower right corner. I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays again using Pretty Peacock ink. I then glued this into the inside and my card was done. This was one of the fastest cards I have made!
